Help with feeding, care, training of rescue llamas and alpacas at the Kerrville Sanctuary. Volunteers must be able to lift a 50 lb hay bale for a short time in order to feed llamas or alpacas. Some volunteers needed to help with record keeping or administrative tasks. Come be a part of doing something good!

Mission Statement

To provide safe refuge for unwanted, neglected or abandoned llamas and alpacas through intervention, education and necessary support. To seek placement and lifelong care for all llamas and alpacas entrusted to our care.

Description

The volunteers with Southwest Llama Rescue, Inc. (SWLR) have found new homes for hundreds of llamas and alpacas since 2001. SWLR also has llamas and alpacas in long term care.

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Must be at least 18
  • Flexible but need weekly commitment.
