At Brookdale Hospice our mission in to enrich the lives we serve with compassion, respect, excellence and integrity.

Brookdale Hospice provides an individualized program of physical, spiritual, emotional and practical care for the patient with emphasis on pain control and symptom management. Our program is a reflection of our caring spirit. We emphasize comfort, dignity and respect above all. We believe that centering our focus on both the patient and the family enables us to provide the best care for everyone involved.

It’s not surprising that hospice volunteers consistently describe their experiences as personally rewarding and fulfilling. Helping others as they near the end of their lives is a profoundly moving experience. Spend some time with a hospice patient and create a special space for them-- reading, reviewing life histories, writing a letter to a loved one for them, or just telling stories about the one that got away. As a hospice volunteer you are specially trained to support the patient and family in a variety of ways.
