Donation Pickup Volunteer Driver for The Salvation Army (Chula Vista)

Position Title: Food pickup and delivery volunteer
Reports To: Chula Vista Corps Officers
Position Description: To support the Chula Vista Corps Community Center in picking up food donations from various grocery stores around Chula Vista. Loading and unloading food donations and weighing boxes once they have reached community center. Properly logging weight and sorting food in the pantry areas. Truck is provided but must have an excellent driving record.
- Must have a valid CA driver’s license
- Must be able to lift 50+ pound boxes of food
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and boundaries as required and appropriate.
- Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse staff and guests.
Duration: Minimum of 3-6 month commitment
Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (only one day is required but more than one day is greatly appreciated)
