We are seeking a volunteer tutor to assist two refugee high school-aged youth from Eritrea who are living in the same foster home in Zeeland (near Grand Valley State University). These youth are seeking help in English acquisition and general academic support. A tutor will be asked to work with the youth 1-2 hours per week and assist with homework, school projects, studying for tests, and English practice. The volunteer tutor will meet with the youth in their foster home or a public setting (e.g. library).
