GMHC is a not-for-profit, data-driven, volunteer-supported, and community-based organization committed to national leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS. We provide HIV prevention and coordinated care services to people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS in New York City.
Help the GMHC kitchen staff with set up, preparing foods, and cleaning up in preparation for meal service for our clients.
Volunteers should be prepared to:
- work on their feet
- handle light to medium carrying loads (10-20 lbs)
- utilize fine motor skills for tasks such as chopping vegetables
To be considered for the volunteer position, volunteers will need to attend a GMHC Orientation as a first step. Please see the details here: http://gmhc.org/get-involved/volunteer-20.
