By giving seniors the means to get to important medical appointments, we offer independence, health, and inclusion.
Volunteer drivers are desperately needed for Sound Generations Volunteer Transportation program. Using your own vehicle, you would help older adults maintain their independence by taking them to much needed medical appointments. Clients greatly appreciate their improved access to medical care, meaningful interactions with caring volunteers, and increased peace of mind. Unfortunately, the program does not have enough volunteers to meet the fast-growing demand for transportation for Seattle seniors. This means we must turn away several seniors every week. Help us close the gap by applying to volunteer today!
This FLEXIBLE volunteer opportunity allows you to provide a personalized touch in driving seniors "door to door"-- from their home to appointments.
If you have the "drive" to help others, a clean driving record, and some daytime availability, call Phirun at (206)554-1655, email Phirun at phirunl@soundgenerations.org or visit http://www.soundgenerations.org/transportation to find out more.
