STEM Goes Red is the American Heart Association's program for high school girls to learn more about STEM-fields outside of the classroom. The Red Beaker Challenge invite local high schoolers to compete alongside community leaders and business executives in STEM-based challenges for the coveted Red Beaker Trophy. The event includes speed networking and mentoring opportunities as well as guest speakers.
We are looking for volunteers interested in helping with set up, registration, break down, and most importantly the challenges. Volunteers will be assigned to stations to help the teams (each team consists of 2 high schoolers and 8 local executives) with their challenges. No STEM knowledge is necessary to volunteer!

The American Heart Association is dedicated in providing the essential information to address, educate, and raise awareness in the community about cardiovascular disease and stroke. Education on how to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke, what the individual risk factors are, how to mitigate those risk factors and most important what you can do in the fight against cardiovascular disease.
