Role description: Professionals or individuals with specific training or credentials who volunteer, offering their expertise. Advisors meet with a program participant one to three times by appointment, depending on the situation, to provide expert advice or direction on an issue.
Skills needed: Patience, compassion, familiar with housing search tools & housing options in the area, able to assist clients with filling out housing applications, computer skills to navigate websites & databases, familiar with the barriers WWCM clients may face regarding housing.
Training provided in: client interaction training, area resources
Expectations of volunteers: Be available to meet with clients 2-4 hours per week or every other week. Attend trainings as scheduled, monthly team meetings, and optional group supervision meetings.

- Background Check
- Must be at least 18
- Orientation or Training
- Regular commitment to 2 hours/week to meet with clients by appointment, generally during the hours of Mon-Thurs, 9-11am & 2-4pm.
