The Alabama-Korea Education and Economic Partnership (A-KEEP) is seeking energetic and bilingual instructors to teach Korean to elementary, middle, and/or high school grade students as well as adults in the Montgomery area.

Requirements:

  • Korean language proficiency
  • Professional
  • Energetic
  • Responsible
  • Teaching or tutoring experience
  • Afternoon availability
  • Bilingual English-Korean
  • Time Management Skills
  • Reliable Transportation

Support for volunteers:

Event volunteers work under the direction of various staff members or other volunteers, who will provide task-specific training.


Volunteer benefits:

Volunteers may be able to attend events free of charge or at a reduced price, will receive A-KEEP's newsletter and be recognized in A-KEEP's annual/impact report.

Event volunteers also have the opportunity to learn skills for professional development, interact with members of the community and/or gain leadership experience.

The nonprofit’s primary mission is to provide multicultural diversity education programs to the students and professionals of both Alabama and Korea. The secondary mission is to act as a Global Partnership Facilitator by bridging the differences between institutions and corporations of Alabama and Korea for local economic prosperity. AKEEP enables students, professionals, organization and corporations of Alabama and Korea to take full advantage of the opportunities of growing economic ties between the two regions, which are accomplished through AKEEP’s leadership programs and facilitation efforts.
