The Enrichment Center for Women, Children, and Families (ECWCF), a non-profit organization, is the corporate successor of the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of Paterson New Jersey. The YWCA was organized in 1901 to fill the practical and inspirational needs of young women.

In 2013 in keeping with the changing needs of the Paterson Community, we re-organized ourselves as the (ECWCF). The mission of ECWCF is to inspire intellectual, social and physical development through programs and services that will enable women, children and families to eliminate the disparities in education, health, and economic injustices in the urban community of the City of Paterson.

The Board's role is to ensure that ECWCF establishes and maintains the trust of the community by being clear in its mission, prudent and ethical in its activities, and accountable for its actions.

The ECWCF is seeking a volunteer Board Member, to assist the organization as it implements new and redesigned program initiatives that support youth and seniors living in the Paterson community.

Board Members will have achieved leadership status in business, government, philanthropy, or the nonprofit sector. His/her accomplishments will allow him/her to attract well-qualified, high-performing Board Members.

Description

The Enrichment Center for Women, Children and Families (ECWCF) is the corporate successor to the YWCA of Paterson. The ECWCF is relaunching its After School Enrichment Program to provide the youth of Paterson with enriching out-of-school time programming. We are looking for volunteers to assist with home work, one-on-one tutoring, activities including technology clubs and our Community Tennis Program. The ECWCF has launched its Senior Lifestyles Program and
