Rays of Hope Children’s Grief Centre is a community outreach of Hospice of Midland. We serve children 4 years to 18 years who have experienced a loss due to death, divorce, separation, incarceration, deployment, foster care, or other painful transitions. Through facilitated peer support groups, children share experiences, use creative arts as tools of expression, and acquire coping skills to work through the tough issues that accompany grief. Because we are an outreach of Hospice of Midland, services are provided at no charge to participants.

Mission Statement
The mission of Rays of Hope Children's Grief Centre is to meet the unique needs of grieving children and their families.
Description
Hospice of Midland is an industry leader for quality and has the most experience and expertise in end-of-life care in our region. Our services are palliative, based on the philosophy that as life nears its end, every individual has the right to spend his or her remaining days how they choose and in peace. We focus on the patient keeping their dignity, controlling pain, responding quickly to symptoms, and adhering to each individual’s needs and wishes. The Care Team is dedicated to helping the terminally ill live each day comfortably and is there to support the patient and family in a setting that best suits their needs.
Hospice of Midland also provides bereavement support to the community through community grief support and Rays of Hope Children's Grief Centre.
