Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Care depends on many caring volunteers to provide support to our terminally ill patients and their families.
Patient Care volunteers provide companionship to patients by visiting and extending friendship on a regular basis. The volunteer by providing friendship can mainstain or reestablish the patient's sense of self worth. Our patients are in nursing homes or their own home. Assignments are geographically made and volunteers can be flexible and spend one hour a week or a couple of hours a month based on the amount of time they can offer.
