Join us the second Saturday of every month for Stewardship Saturdays - an opportunity to help the environment, meet like-minded people, be active, and explore! This month, Fjallraven and Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation are partnering at Draper-Houston Meadows Preserve. We will remove invasive shrubs that are encroaching on the grassland and woods. We will also also incorporate a hike to kick-off the Preserve Challenge.
The Preserve Challenge is a four week virtual challenge (Sept 14 - Oct 13) encouraging people to get outside and explore. Join a staff-led event or explore on your own time. Participate by taking a photo or short video of your experience and posting it to social media with #ExploreWashtenaw. If you have a private social media account, send your photo to Washtenaw County Parks via Facebook Messenger or email (parks@washtenaw.org). By sharing your experience, you will be entered to win a prize. Participate every week for a chance at the grand prize.
