Are you interested in criminal justice? Do you believe that every person has a right to quality education? If so, you should apply to volunteer with The Petey Greene Program.

Petey Greene, a non-profit that supplements education in correctional facilities by preparing volunteers to provide free, high-quality tutoring, is recruiting volunteer tutors to support the academic attainment of incarcerated learners at Wallkill, Green Haven, Fishkill, and Greene Correctional Facilities (please Google the prisons to see which one is nearest you).

We are looking for a number of volunteers to tutor incarcerated students working towards their high school equivalencies. Tutoring would take place on a weekday (excluding Friday) once a week for 2-2.5 hours from either 9-11AM, 1-3PM, 3:30-6PM, or 6:30-8:30PM.

If you are interested in and available to volunteer tutor at either Wallkill, Green Haven, Fishkill, or Greene, please apply at peteygreene.org/volunteer. After applying, please reach out to nyc@peteygreene.org so that we can expedite the process!
