Volunteering needs for the gardens of Artmosphere Community Arts Center consist of planning, weeding, planting, landscaping, mulching and building new beds. Volunteers can use hands on experience to learn and share new horticulture ideas and information. The property is new and is an open slate for creating. Plans for turning the grounds into a botanical garden are in the goals of the group. The gardens will be perfect for those interested in using their creativity to create unique garden beds and landscape.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to use some onsite tools.
Regular group volunteer days are - 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month, 9am-11am and 1st Sunday of every month, 3pm-5pm. No need to register.
However, volunteers are welcome anytime. Please contact us with your interests.

Description
We are a fun, plant-loving, fast-growing garden group that started in 2016. We welcome everyone regardless of age, gender, race, or even gardening experience level.
We have partnered with Artmosphere Community Arts Center and made this our home base. On this property we hold our monthly meetings that include fun plant/seed exchanges and offer interesting horticulture lectures and classes. The club's children's group help maintain the veggie garden twice a month.
Artmosphere Community Arts Center has 6.75 acres of property including many garden beds. Soil Trotters' goals are to have the gardens become a destination botanical gardens for Johnston County in the future and need many hands and minds to accomplish this wonderful goal.
Our group is made up entirely of volunteers. We have regular garden volunteer days- 1st and 3rd Thursday; 9am-11am and 1st Sunday; 3pm-5pm. However, volunteers are welcome anytime. Contact us to discuss your interests!
