Do you love roller skating? How about teaching others how to roller skate?

Special Olympics Mecklenburg County is looking for Roller Skating Training Coaches to lead our roller skating program. If you have the sport knowlege and are at least 18 years of age, we can train you on how to work with Special Olympic athletes. No skating experience is required. Volunteering on skates is optional.

  • Commit to being a Coach for a full season.
  • Be available on primarily Tuesdays starting in September through October (Sept 10, 17, 24 and October 1, 8, 15, 22, 24 and 25).
  • Complete online and in-person training to give you tools to be successful.
  • Pass a criminal background screening at no cost to you.
