OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

MoSS is to museums as bookmobiles are to libraries; we bring education through exhibits to people in their own communities.

The main role of the Operations Director is to improve processes and policies, and lead long-term organizational planning. support the operations of the executive team at MoSS. Maintaining a schedule of events, confirming board meetings, attending weekly virtual meetings and meeting in person once a month is essential to this role. This is a leadership position.

Tasks

• Maintain a schedule of events both internally and externally

• Develop policies and procedures as necessary

• Manages bookkeeping through Quickbooks Online (approximately 5 transactions per month)

• Develops and oversees office standards

• Email meeting reminders, deadline reminders, and follow up reminders to other Directors, including the Board of Directors, and the Executive Director

• Meet in person monthly with the Executive Team

• Meet weekly virtually

Skills/Experience

• A background in communicating with various levels of management is essential for this position

• Experience with Quickbooks is a bonus, but we will teach the right person

• Experience with Google Calendar

• Organizational skills are a must

• Project Management Experience is a bonus

• Proven ability to manage people, projects and time
