Pet Partner Teams Are Amazing -- Volunteer With Hospice! October Training
3 people are interested
There are so many hospice patients that will benefit from you and your certified pet's loving presence. Consider bringing your compassionate heart and loving pet to visit hospice patients in your community. We need more certified cats, dogs, rabbits and any certified pet that would bring comfort to a hospice patient.
The next volunteer training is scheduled for October 5th, 6th, and 12th for approximately 21 hours of training.
The majority of our patients live in an assisted living setting where they would benefit from your pet-assisted companionship. Pet visits often stimulate beautiful memories of a sweet relationship with a beloved pet, promote tender life stories, and bring comfort at this most intimate and sacred time.
Spend 2 hours a week visiting a patient in your community. We serve patients and families throughout the Portland metro area -- Portland, Gresham, Sandy, Oregon City, Tigard, Hillsboro, Beaverton, St Helen's, Wilsonville, Newberg, Salem. We assign you and your pet to visit a patient in your community.
