The KIIDS program is seeking eight high school aged volunteers from South Jersey to volunteer on Sunday afternoon for two hours, twice monthly, during the school year...beginning in October 2019. KIIDS is a parent organization that provides meaningful, age appropriate recreation opportunities to young children, pre-teens and teenagers/young adults with Down Syndrome. The teen volunteers become both friends and social skills mentors to the teenage participants , helping them to develop important skills that will assist them in being more successful and more included in their community, Only dedicated teens need apply. Good attendance is expected. If this is you, please contact us so we can meet with you and your parent to explain the details. Great way to make a difference!

-to provide parents of children with Down syndrome with the information and the necessary resources to help their child reach his/her full potential -to support the individual with Down syndrome as well as her/his family through social and educational events -to share accurate and up-to-date knowledge and information with medical professionals, educational professionals, and the public about Down syndrome.
We are a parent run organization to support families who have children with Down syndrome in southern New Jersey. We were founded in 2003 by a group of moms who met at a playgroup and have grown to over 100 families strong. We offer ongoing programs for different age groups, such as fitness class, social groups and playgroups as well as many monthly social events throughout the year. We also have guest speakers to educate our parents on various topics and reach out to medical professionals as well.
