Want to make a difference in the lives of both people and animals? Through this remarkable organization, you can help New York City’s most vulnerable residents, many of whom are homebound seniors and/or sufferers of illness or disability, in their efforts to keep their pets despite financial and/or physical obstacles. Your efforts will not only allay people’s loneliness and promote their physical health and emotional wellbeing, but save countless animals from being placed in shelters, several of whom would have likely been euthanized. Whether you want to make house calls to clients or coordinate and deliver food and supply packages to them (which you would pick up from the organization’s Chelsea office), there may be something here for you.
