Launched in May 1992, Big Apple Greeter is an independent non-profit corporation. Its mission is to enhance New York City's worldwide image and enrich the New York experience by connecting visitors with knowledgeable and enthusiastic 'Greeters.' A very small, dedicated staff and a committed corps of volunteers help Big Apple Greeter promote a friendly image of New York.
Under the supervision of the Project Manager and working closely with at least one of our long time Greeters, this person would be responsible for producing a series of videos. An extraordinary opportunity to work with a knowledgeable and inspiring man and to help promote an amazing program.
Responsibilities would include:
- Filming one of our annual meetings either on :
o September 10 th (Need to be available from 9 am to 1 pm)
o September 25 th (Need to be available from 4 pm to 7:30 pm)
- Filming and editing a series of 5 to 10 videos with different lengths and purposes. Those videos would be used for but not limited to:
o recruit new volunteers (either posted on FB or on Big Apple Greeter website)
o present the program to new Greeters during Orientation Sessions
o trigger more donations (posted on FB, sent to visitors after a Greet by emails...)

Big Apple Greeter is a small non-profit organization that has been welcoming visitors to NYC since 1992 by offering them free 4 hour visits to a neighborhood of their choice with volunteers who know it well.
