Pinwheel Place

Pinwheel Place is New Jersey's first Crisis Nursery! We provide residential care to children of families in crisis.

We are a grassroots nonprofit that is still quite small, but we're looking to expand our outreach through regular posting to social media!

What We're Looking For:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the type of content that is successful on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and how they differ
  • Preferably social media native with a strong understanding of technology and ability to troubleshoot
  • ability to post to each of our three big sites (Facebook, Insta, and Twitter) 3x a week with relatable and engaging content (est. 2 - 3 hours a week)
    • content will be suggested/guided by Outreach Coordinator, Julia until Intern is comfortable and has a grasp on the kind of content we're looking to put out; autonomy and creativity with content are highly encouraged!
    • some amount of research is needed in areas such as preventing child abuse and neglect, building stronger communities, ACEs, etc
  • a passion for child welfare, building community online and off, a team spirit
  • 18 years of age or older

Pinwheel Place provides residential care for children at risk for abuse and neglect as well as coordinating medical and/or psychological services depending on the needs of the child. We service primarily children birth to five years of age.
