About Ronald McDonald House Boston Harbor

Mission Statement

Ronald McDonald House Charities of New England develops, supports and provides programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. We fulfill our mission by supporting families of seriously ill children, creating programs that keep families close to each other and the vital healthcare services they need in order to enable children to live happier, healthier lives.

Description

Ronald McDonald House Charities (r) of New England (RMHC NE) provides a comprehensive and supportive network of resources to children and their families through Ronald McDonald Houses, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms and Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles. Together, we can build greater capacity to serve children facing all pediatric illnesses at Boston’s children hospitals, Rhode Island’s children hospitals and other medical facilities throughout New England. Each year hundreds of families travel to Boston from locations all over the world to give their child access to the world’s best medical care. In doing so, they face enormous hurdles such as navigating the complexities of the health care system, extraordinarily high local housing costs, and excessive emotional and physical stress. At the Ronald McDonald House at Boston Harbor, we remove the stress of daily living and support families to enable them to focus on what really matters: their child’s health
