The wish team is responsible for working with families and volunteers to obtain all the necessary paperwork and coordinates wish details. The wish team’s intern will be responsible for assisting in planning wishes and communicating with wish families throughout the wish-granting process. The wish team’s intern will practice skills in project management, data integrity, and communication. The wish team’s intern is expected to deliver excellent customer service to customers across Make-A-Wish Michigan. Responsibilities: · Correspond with wish families and volunteers regarding necessary wish paperwork · Entering data · Creating final packets for wish families · Helping to schedule details of a wish with limo reservations, hotel reservations, rental car reservations, and special enhancements · Attend wish celebrations with the Senior Program Coordinator as they come up · Sending letters to wish families · Sending medical forms for wishes · Communicating with medical professionals regarding medical paperwork · Brainstorming new ways to enhance the wish experience · Support the wish team as needed · Other duties as assigned Qualifications: · Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program and able to receive college credit. Preferred degrees in Education, or Family Studies. · Must possess the ability to work 1-2 full days a week January 2020-April 2020 · Must be well organized with a great work ethic · Must have exceptional communication skills

Description
Make-A-Wish Michigan began in 1984 when Joshua, and 11-year-old from Tecumseh wished to go to the Walt Disney World Resort. Fifteen courageous children experienced a joy of a wish that first year. Since thenm the Foundation and its supporters have made wishes become reality for more than 7,000 children in our Michigan community.
