Come to beautiful Brookside Gardens in Wheaton to assist and/or lead school groups that are participating in our locally renowned Children's Program! Volunteers will assist with handling and directing groups, set-up and clean-up classroom tables; assist children during hands-on potting plant activity; lead and teach small groups of children outdoors in Brookside Gardens.
Brookside Gardens Childrens Programs support curriculum and national and state standards required for Montgomery County Public Schools.
Volunteers assist groups Tuesday-Friday, 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m.

Description
Our agency is located just north of Washington D.C., and was originally created to protect the stream valleys around the D.C. area. We have grown into a 34,000 acre park system with over 400 local, urban and regional parks; recreation centers; ballfields; playgrounds; nature centers, a botanic garden and over 200 miles of trails.
