Have Fun Making Art with Underserved Kids!
DrawBridge is currently seeking Volunteers for weekly art groups that meets on Monday evenings at 7pm in East San Jose. Volunteers assist the Facilitator and work with a site staff to guide and give positive reinforcement to the young participants. You will use art materials, assist in group activities, and most of all, make an impact on underserved youth.
DrawBridge is a nonprofit agency that serves the greater Bay Area with expressive, non-directed art programs for homeless and other underserved children ages 4-17. We collaborate with homeless and emergency shelters and low-income housing facilities to bring art programs to the children, giving them a safe, supportive environment in which to express themselves and find the joy in creating art.
*Must pass Livescan fingerprinting background check
*Need current TB test (can be completed after application)
*18+ only
*Must have experience w/ children, 1-3+ years preferred
*Must have experience w/ art, 1-3+ years preferred
*Commitment is 1-2 hours a week for a minimum of 6 months.
There is no compensation for this position, it is a volunteer opportunity.
