There is still work needed to complete the renovation of the CNVAMC, Modoc campground. We need volunteers to help us prepare the facility for Veterans use and material donations to complete the renovation. Time: Weekday or weekend
Who: Individuals or groups
Volunteer work projects include:
- Plumbing - build shower stall with changing area for men’s and women’s bathhouse - restroom
- Carpentry - pump house sheathing repair, replace rotten wood on dining hall
- Pressure wash interior/exterior bath house - restroom and dining hall in preparation for painting
- Replacing screen on dining hall
- Seal dock
- Blow pine straw off roofs of buildings
- Painting
Needed donated materials include:
- Toilets - Two (2) W/C accessible (ADA compliant)
- Two (2) Vanities for Restrooms (ADA compliant)
- Two (2) sets of tall w/c bathroom sink fixtures
- Two (2) angled w/c mirrors
- Four (4) shower fixtures
- Exterior double flood lights with motion sensors
- Concrete exterior paint
- White concrete interior paint
- T1-11 boards
- Screen for dining hall building
- Ceiling fans in dining hall
- Upper and lower kitchen cabinets/counter
- Riding lawnmower
- Leaf blower
- Storage shed to house riding lawnmower, leaf blower, recreation equipment
- Minor road grading

Our volunteer program covers all aspects of the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. We seek to create volunteer positions that are rewarding and purposeful for all volunteers.
