Are you an individual who is passionate about giving back to their community by educating at risk students through relevant IT education and resources? Then this opportunity might be for you.

Treobytes is a 501(c)3 non-profit focuses on under-represented communities and girls in the STEAM fields. Founded in 2014, focuses on bringing technology into the hands of all students. We emphasize teaching and mentoring students of all backgrounds in non-conventional learning environments. Our project based curriculum breaks down fundamentals of computer engineering, computer science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. After-School STEAM Enrichment Coach This academic school year, we will be providing enrichment programs within San Diego Unified Escondido Union School District offering students from 3rd to 8th grade the chance to learn computer science and hardware fundamentals. Our enrichment program will provide hands on learning through building a computer tower, coding through Python,Scratch and Engineering concepts, as well as learn through collaboration and project based principals. The assignments will run during the 2020/21 school year, volunteers can provide as little as 6 hours a week up to 15 hours weekly depending on your availability.
All programs will run in the afternoon, approximately 12:30 to 4:30pm M-F. Requirements: 1. Students who are passionate about bettering the community through technology education and student empowerment. 2. Self starting individuals 3. Industry professional, College student enrolled or recent graduate from Science, Technology, Engineering, Liberal Arts or Math discipline. 4. All Individuals must be able to self-learn applications and lesson plans prior to instruction 5. Individuals must be able to lead and direct students from 11 to 18 years old in groups of 10 or more. 6. Skill in virtual learning platforms 7. Strong communications ability The following are preferences: - Industry professional
