Our volunteers will have the amazing opportunity to work closely with the mustangs and help them become wonderful companions. Some general activities include mucking stalls, cleaning/filling water buckets, feeding, grooming, socialization walks, halter training, groundwork with the horses and special ranch projects. All volunteers must be able to give 3 hours a week to continue their membership of volunteer work with American Legend Mustang. All volunteers will have the opportunity to observe, and work with, our talented horse trainer Bruce Siben. Being a volunteer at American Legend Mustang will build lasting friendships with the horses and the fellow volunteers!

Mission Statement
Help Keep The American Legend Alive!
Description
What started with a vision 2 years ago has now formed into a nonprofit organization nestled in the beautiful Ojai Valley in Ojai, California on a 24 acre ranch, with the goal of educating the public about wild horses and burros, the Bureau of Land Management Wild Horse and Burro facilities and showing that these horses can become a great companion with love, trust, and work. We adopt our wild mustangs brought in by the Bureau of Land Management. Once our horses arrive at American Legend Mustang they begin training and socialization by our trainer Bruce Siben. A big part of our mustangs socialization and handling is our American Legend Mustang Volunteer and Internship Program. After our mustangs go through the training and gentling we like to remind our workers and the public that they are still wild animals and can be unpredictable and to be cautious of their surroundings when handling. Our most important mission here at American Legend Mustang is To Keep The American Legend Alive!
