At The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), we're passionate about our mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS volunteers help carry out this mission in so many ways: supporting patients, family members, healthcare professionals, and our community, driving policy advocacy, participating in our campaigns, and helping LLS build much needed capacity.

Product Information The Donor Development Department cultivates and stewards relationships with individual and foundation donors to support LLS’s vital mission, providing donors with the information and recognition that demonstrates their impact and our appreciation.

Purpose The volunteer will help the Donor Development Department execute regular mailings, ensure database maintenance, assist in the acknowledgement process, and with other administrative tasks. This role will help LLS secure necessary mission funding.

Position Tasks

  • Small in-house mailings to donors/prospects
  • Merge data
  • Print envelopes and letters
  • Stuff envelopes
  • List Management
  • Pull all mailing lists from 360
  • Clean and review mailing lists
  • Ensure quality control of lists
  • Update Influencers mailing list
  • Database Maintenance
    • Basic data entry to document tasks/interactions with donors/prospects in 360
    • Update Giving Circle
  • Other Tasks
  • Contact Chapters to initiate Leadership Acknowledgment process
  • Update VP Regions in the following Excel documents: pipelines, chapter contact list, budget workbooks

Desired Skills

Volunteer should possess the following skills/qualifications:

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Familiarity with mail merge from Excel into Word
  • Ability to learn CRM 360 - training will be provided

Training

LLS will provide the volunteer with an orientation to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as well as training on 360 and the equipment needed to complete the mailings.
