ORGANIZATION: QUARTER PROJECT OF NORTHERN COLORADO

  • 8 people are interested

We are looking for volunteers as Board of Director members as well as volunteers to teach/facilitate our classes. Board of Directors meet once a month during the school year. We have one large fundraiser the first Friday in May that all of the Board of Directors help to create and host. We could also use volunteers interested in STEM academics and careers, to help facilitate and teach our GEMS/G-SAS classes.

Mission Statement

To promote women in STEM academics and careers through offering resources for young female students, primarily, although not exclusively, for minority and low-income girls.

Description

The Quarter Project offers an after school program at the Boys and GIrls Club of Larimer County. We offer STEM enrichment activities to girls K-5 in our GEMS (girls in engineering, math, and science) program, and to middle school girls in our G-SAS (girls serious about science) program, and development of leadership skills to high school girls through our STEM Femmes program. We are looking for volunteers to help facilitate classes for both of our younger programs, as well as recruiting Board of Director members for our non-profit The Quarter Project of Northern Colorado.
