Individual will assistant with lunch meal preparation, this could include plating desserts, preparing side salads, buttering bread as well serving the food. Hot meal is provided Mon-Saturday; Sunday is a bagged sandwich lunch. Some clean up may be involved: wiping tables, collecting trash, sweeping, and possibly mopping if volunteer is able to. Volunteer will observe and implement all food safety regulations in preparing food, wearing gloves, aprons, hairnets/hats, etc. (which are provided). We also need plasticware wrapped when reserve runs low.

Job duty will be assigned daily depending on how many volunteers come in that day. Volunteer may be working with knives cutting cakes, or hot pans serving the meal, pouring drinks, prepping or cleaning. Some dishwashing may be requested. We also put surplus bread and pastries out for clients to select.

  • Orientation or Training
  • Looking for 1 day commitment from multiple volunteers. Hours are 9-2:30 Mon-Fri. Saturday 930-130 and Sunday 11-3.
  • Food Safety Certification is a plus, minimal training from in house chef will be required (free of charge).
