Join the Green Kirkland Partnership to help with the restoration of Juanita Beach Park. Volunteers will spend the morning participating in restoration activities which may include removing non-native invasive plants like English ivy and Himalayan blackberry, spreading mulch over cleared areas, and planting native trees, shrubs and ground covers.
No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us!
What to Bring:
* Closed Toed Shoes Required (ex: tennis shoes, sneakers or boots but no sandals)
* Clothes that can get dirty, rain gear, warm layers, long pants/long sleeves
* Full water bottle & Snacks
* Tools, training and gloves are provided
Where to Park:
Park in the main parking lot near the children's play area near the western end of the lot (near the stream).
Meeting Point:
We meet near the foot bridge at the west end of the parking lot--look for the Green Kirkland Partnership signs.
Youth Volunteering:
Volunteers age 14-17 attending the event without a parent or guardian must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to the event with them. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Our Mission is to restore and maintain healthy forested and natural parklands by building a supportive community that works together to protect Kirkland’s valuable natural resources for current and future generations. Achieving this involves training and supporting volunteers in restoration activities.
Description
The Green Kirkland Partnership is an alliance between the City of Kirkland, nonprofit partners, businesses and the community to restore almost 500 acres of natural parkland in the City. The majority of the restoration efforts are accomplished by our dedicated volunteers. These volunteers may join us just one time or volunteer again and again. It takes everyone to restore our natural areas!
