The Adopt-A-Family, Events and Community Outreach Intern will support the Volunteer Program’s two annual holiday campaigns- Adopt-A-Family program and Toys for Tots. During the months of September-January, this volunteer will be collaborating with staff members across North County Lifeline and external donors to successfully execute events that will help spread holiday cheer!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate (with Lifeline staff and volunteers) outreach at holiday events to promote holiday giving including:
- Vista’s Winter Fest & Vista’s Christmas Parade
- Develop, implement, and coordinate toy drives with local businesses, organizations, and other groups to supplement the annual Toys for Tots campaign
- Develop positive working relationships with community members
- Coordinate the pick up or drop off logistics for each toy drive
- Plan and execute the Adopt-A-Family Drop Off Party (this is when donors drop off presents for the families they "adopted")
- Coordinate the logistics of that day, which include: planning the decorations and creating a schedule for that day
- Collaborate with Communications & Events Manger, to advertise the Drop Off Party across Lifeline’s social media and communication platforms
