Volunteers Needed for Give Kids Sight Day 2019!

If you don’t know about Give Kids Sight Day, it’s a day of free vision screenings and free eyeglasses for children in our region, 17 years old and younger, who have not seen an eye care provider or who has failed their vision exam.

This annual event from Public Citizens for Children and Youth, will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Wills Eye Hospital, and Jefferson Alumni Hall in center city Philadelphia.

Last year, over 1,200 young people received services on this single day - and that takes a lot of volunteer power! There are volunteer opportunities that help families register (data entry) or serve as ambassadors (escorting families to patient care areas). Language interpreters are really needed - most of the need is Spanish, Mandarin and Indonesian speakers but we need many more!

PCCY, and the children in our region, need your help to make this day great!
