ORGANIZATION: Alzheimer's Association-Alabama Chapter

The Alzheimer’s Association of Alabama YP Board works to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias among individuals in their 20s and 30s. The Junior Board carries out this mission through fundraising events, support programs, education, and advocacy initiatives.

The YP Board meets monthly and hosts a variety of fundraisers and other events in the community, including our The Longest Day fundraiser on June 21 st - Summer Solstice.

Members range in age between 21 and 35 and reside throughout the City of Birmingham and the neighboring suburbs.

Responsibilities of a YP Board member include:

  • Attend 75% of monthly meetings
  • Plan and implement The Longest Day fundraiser, a YP Signature event
  • Actively promote the YP Board and other Alzheimer’s Association of Alabama initiatives
