If you would like to support the brave protestors in Hong Kong and also engage about what the future may hold, please join us. This is particularly timely right now with the new National Security Act - see https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/02/asia/hk-china-national-security-law-intl-hnk/index.html. Hong Kongers can no longer speak out as freely themselves, and at least some have asked the international community to speak out on their behalf- https://twitter.com/joshuawongcf/status/1277797447822172162
We have a few different team efforts going on, and would love to have extra hands on deck. Research, outreach, creative expression - any talent you have, we can use! In particular, we may focus on lobbying the finance industry that relies on Hong Kong banking systems, and in getting Chinese language articles and creative works out where they can be seen in mainland China.
We are a small tight-knit team, all remote, we work thru slack, twitter and phone/hangout.

We created civ.works as a platform for all of us to work together to overcome the corrupting influence of money in politics. Together we can address bad policy, legislation and to hold all of our elected officials accountable. For democracy to work -our government must represent "We the People". civ.works: Together. We can.
civ.works is a privacy protected social platform built for meaningful civic action.
The concept of civ.works is to finally provide a societal machine to stand up against something created nearly 50 years ago -and begin the process of empowering citizens again. We are building a platform together -against an incredibly mature and well-funded machine. Your volunteer efforts will be helping us collectively build something powerful and important.
