Our Mission

What is Glamp?

Hosted every year at Camp River Ranch, Glamp is a unique event that combines fundraising with a timeless camp experience. Glamp participants help raise the critical financial assistance one in five girls need to attend camp-all while enjoying traditional camp pastimes and upgraded glamping activities like wine-tasting, yoga, and workshops. When you volunteer at Glamp, you ensure every dollar raised directly goes to financial assistance to attend summer camp.

Whether you can join us for a shift or the entire weekend, your time will support a great cause. All volunteers receive meals and snacks during their shift, and cabin accommodations (just bring your favorite pillow and sleeping bag) if you are volunteering for more than one day. If you are joining us on Saturday, you are more than welcome to participate in the silent auction and help send even more girls to camp!

Three Days of Fun: Volunteer Roles Needed

We have a variety of volunteer roles to fit your needs:

Set-up & Tear Down | Silent Auction Support | Post-Event Clean-Up Floaters/Runners | Admin & Registration Support | Shuttle Drivers*

Single volunteer shifts range from 4-6 hours , and you can volunteer for a half-day, full day or the entire weekend. Whether you’re a wall flower or an extreme extravert, we can make sure your volunteer experience matches your interests and level of comfort to ensure everyone has a wonderful time.

* Shuttle Drivers will have additional training and requirements.

Mission Statement

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

Description

Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
