ORGANIZATION: Nevada Blind Children's Foundation

Do you enjoy helping? Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation is looking for some general assistance with our after-school programs on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights. Each program will need 2-3 volunteers, extra sets of hands to set up, assist with, and clean-up activities.

  • Tuesday night is Life Skills; you will work with the children we serve on activities such as cooking, housekeeping, financial literacy, and transportation.
  • Wednesday night, we work on STEAM and Robotics projects. Background in science programming or engineering preferred.
  • Thursday nights alternate between Girl Scouts and 4-H Clubs. Mentors, leaders, and advisors needed.
  • Friday nights are all about adaptive recreation, dance, sports & Fun Fridays. If you have experience in Physical Education, worked as a Camp Counselor, or you enjoy being active, this may be the perfect night for you. Fun Fridays are evening for NBCF Kids and their sighted siblings to get together for dinner, movies, and games. Fun Friday volunteer opportunities are listed separately.

All volunteers are required to:
1. Complete a background check before volunteering
2. Volunteers with more than 20 hours a week need a TB test
3. All volunteers will be Temperate checked before a volunteer shift

  • Must be at least 18
