Avalon Hospice is committed to clinical excellence in hospice care. We see each individual as more than a patient. Our skilled professionals and volunteers design an all-encompassing program, customized to each patient that addresses not only the physical need but also the emotional and spiritual needs of the patient and family. Our hospice teams provide compassionate care for individuals and their families when life matters most.

We are looking for volunteers in the Topeka and surrounding areas.

The individual will work with patients and their families to provide support services as indicated by patient or family needs under the supervision of the Hospice Volunteer Coordinator.

These support services include: visiting patients at home, hospital or in a skilled nursing facility, providing companionship and supportive listening, providing respite care for primary caregiver, light housekeeping, running errands, child care, shopping and may provide minimal activities of daily living.
