ORGANIZATION: Invisible Hands by Commonpoint

Volunteers serving as a lobby Greeter warmly welcome visitors to Sam Field Center in Little Neck. He or she provides wheelchair and walking escort assistance to guests as needed to locations. In addition, he or she assists with questions, directions and helps to connect the guest with services as needed.

Duties:
This description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Volunteers may be asked to perform additional duties by their department.
Cordially greets visitors upon arrival. Ascertain visitors’ needs and direct them accordingly.
Contact Main Desk or Security for assistance when necessary for the lobby and entrance areas.
Monitor the overall appearance of the main lobby.
Performs related duties as required.


Shifts can be negotiated based on availability and schedule.

Description

For almost 60 years, Commonpoint Queens (formerly The Samuel Field and Central Queens YMWHA) has remained strong and vital and has continued to provide new and innovative programs to the greater Northeast Queens and Western Nassau communities.

As we embark on our sixth decade of providing high quality programs and services to our community, individuals of all ages learn and flourish within a caring and supportive environment at one of our 36 different sites throughout our neighborhoods.

We continue to provide life enhancing and life sustaining services to the over 35,000 people who depend on us to be their community center at each stage of their lives.
