More Than a Bed operates out of a five thousand square foot warehouse and is run primarily by volunteers. We receive donations of clothing, toys, household items to be distributed to foster, kinship, and adoptive families in Pima County, Arizona. We are looking for volunteers to assist with sorting the donations by season, then by gender and sizes. You will receive an orientation as to what that looks like once you arrive.

We are open Tuesdays, Fridays, and Fridays from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm to allow families to shop. Thursdays, we are accepting donations from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm only. We are also open on the 2nd Saturdays of the month from 8:30 am - 12 pm to allow working families to shop who can't get to the warehouse during the week.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions issued by the CDC, face masks are mandatory for all volunteers and we are checking body temperatures before each shift.

This opportunity is great for individuals or groups.

Mission Statement

More Than a Bed's mission is to support foster, kinship, and adoptive families and the children in their homes by providing for practical needs.

More Than a Bed was established in September 2014. We are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization and are a Christian resource center for foster and adoptive families. Our vision is to inspire the community to get involved in the life of a foster child and support the family providing care. To encourage new families to be licensed and existing families to remain licensed with the goal of every child in Pima County and its surrounding areas to have a safe place to call home.
