Event Description:
Join Parks staff in building a playground at North Hills Park on October 23, 2019. We are also holding October 30th as the rain date for this build.

Lunch will be provided during our lunch break as well as all tools, gloves, snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray and a first aid kit.

Volunteer Duties:
Volunteers will work in small groups to help in the assembling of the new play features being installed.

Impact:
Positively benefit the community and create a fun environment for all who visit North Hills Park.

Work Environment:
All volunteer work will be outside. There is a possibility of uneven ground. There is a restroom on site. We tend to work in light rain, but in the case of severe weather we would shift to the October 30th rain date.

Volunteer Requirements:
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to volunteer. Each volunteer must sign a release form. Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.

Special Instructions:
Volunteers should wear sturdy, close-toed shoes and clothing that can get dirty. We will supply tools and work-gloves. Pre-registration is required.

Group Registration Information:
Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. A group leader must email mary.owens@raleighnc.gov to register. All groups will be required to provide a list of names and emails for their volunteers.

Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
