Event Description: The City of Raleigh/Dorothea Dix Park in partnership with Shop Local Raleigh are hosting the Falling for Local Festival at Dix Park. The event will take place on Saturday, October 19th from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The event will feature a family-focused atmosphere with food/drinks, live entertainment, kids and adult activities, so much more!
Volunteer Duties: Volunteers will support event operations as activity assistants and greeters.
Impact: Serving event attendees will create an exceptional experience at the park.
Work Environment: This event will take place outdoors and there may be a possibility of uneven ground. There will be crowds and live music. There will be restrooms on site.
Volunteer Requirements: Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer. All volunteers must sign a release form. Those under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign their release form.
Special Instructions: Volunteers should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and close-toed shoes. Further instructions will be emailed closer to event.
Group Registration Information: Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. If you are interested in registering as a group, please use the "Register as a Group" button. You will then need to email mary.owens@raleighnc.gov the names of the volunteers from your organization who plan on attending. This is to ensure groups are not reserving spots that they do not have actual volunteers for.
Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
