Road To Recovery Volunteer
Volunteer drivers helping cancer patients get to treatment

Every day cancer patients in your area miss potentially life-saving cancer treatment appointments, simply because they couldn’t get there.

In our Road To Recovery program, volunteers use their own vehicles to drive cancer patients to and from their appointments. This rewarding experience allows you to provide meaningful support in your community on a flexible schedule that works for you. You’ll meet incredible people and provide encouragement to cancer patients when they need it the most.

Volunteer drivers can customize their own schedules and mileage preferences. Opportunities to volunteer are posted on our ride matching website and you only select the rides that works best for you! There are no minimum hours or ride requirements to join.

Don’t believe us? Listen to what Pamela loves about being a volunteer driver. https://youtu.be/iQxmWFHzRgw

We are leading research and treatment advancements everyday... but they can’t help the person who misses their appointment. Please visit www.cancer.org/drive or call 1-800-227-2345 for more information.

Volunteer drivers must:

Have a current, valid driver’s license
Be between the ages of 18-84
Have a good driving record
Have access to a safe and reliable vehicle
Provide proof of adequate automobile insurance

Every volunteer must pass a background check and take an online training to help prepare them for their new role.
