Are you good with numbers, do you like helping others? If so, we have an opportunity for you! We are looking for volunteers to join the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program which provides free tax return preparation services for low to moderate income taxpayers in your local communities. We have opportunities for a variety of positions, from Counselors, Local Coordinators & Electronic Return Originators just to name a few. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are comfortable with computers and would like to assist area residents with preparation and filing of their Federal & State Tax Returns. Prior tax preparation experience is helpful, but not required, our dedicated team of volunteers are also there to train and support you using professional tax preparation software as you join our team. Volunteers are needed throughout the tax season (February 1st - April 15th) with training in late 2019 - January 2020. Won't you consider joining this wonderful group of volunteers! AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is the nation's largest volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance service.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers are trained and
IRS-certified each year to ensure their knowledge of
revisions to the U.S. tax code. With their help, taxpayers
received $1.3 billion in refunds and more than $244 million
EITCs. By using AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, these low- to
moderate-income taxpayers also avoid preparation fees
and pitches for high-interest tax credit or refund loans.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is offered in conjunction
with the IRS.
