Looking for a way to give back locally while making a positive impact globally? Volunteer at Global Gifts! We're a nonprofit fair trade shop located in the vibrant Short North Arts District and we're holding a Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, May 8th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at our store (682 N. High St.).
A diverse group of volunteers and interns work alongside a small staff to: assist customers, ring up sales, check in orders, create visual displays, help host special events, and more. It's a great way to learn more about fair trade, fair trade handicrafts, cultures of the global south, and more.
Message us if you have questions or if you're interested but can't make our scheduled orientation. We look forward to meeting you!
Global Gifts is committed to serving impoverished artisans and producers in the developing world by:
Providing vital fair income and employment for people of limited opportunity;
Marketing ethically produced and ethically obtained handmade products;
Educating the public about the cultures and traditions associated with items we sell; and
Helping consumers spend their shopping dollars in ways that benefit impoverished peoples around the world.
Global Gifts is a nonprofit organization with four fair trade store locations. We are supported by a small staff and a dedicated team of volunteers. At Global Gifts, products are fair trade and handmade, which means your contribution supports fair wages, gender equity, and safe and dignified working conditions. Volunteers will enjoy a fun retail working environment, learning artisan stories, and a 15% discount off purchases.
