Tutors will help students Saturday mornings with (1) specific subjects on one-on-one or (2) general homework help in a group setting. Tutors will commit to a semester at a time or volunteer as "substitute" tutors and fill in (with advance notice) for semester tutors.
Semester Tutors (Fall semester)
- Sign up to tutor at least one hour on Saturdays between 9am and 12pm (one hour slots)
- We have flexible schedules now - allowing for Semesters Tutors to commit to every other week, if necessary
Other information:
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are a must
- Cultural awareness is a plus
- If a high school student, need to have completed course/subject that you will tutor prior to tutoring and you should have received a grade of "B" or better in the course/subject

Description
CREO DuPage (aka CREO) is a nonprofit program focused on helping motivated Hispanic/Latino/Latinx students attain the future they yearn for - making possible what may seem impossible! We want to break away from misconceptions by changing the college narrative in the community and enabling our students to successfully prepare for and complete their studies.
CREO mostly volunteer-based and there are many opportunities to get involved with us! CREO Volunteers have the chance to really shape our next generation!

- Orientation or Training
- Semester Tutors: 1 to 3 hours a week, with flexibility on volunteering every other week on a monthly basis. Substitue Tutors: sign up for a least 1 hour a month.
- Background check and online training required. Also, we'll have a 90-minute in-person volunteer training that will introduce you to your role.
