Assist staff at the Alliance for Regional Solutions in continuing to build community commitment and investment to create a thriving, resilient North County for all. The Alliance members include over sixty North County nonprofit organizations, eight
North County cities, and the county.

Supervising Staff:

  • MaryLynn McCorkle, Collaboration Manager

Time Commitment:

  • This is an ongoing (6+ months), weekly commitment or internship opportunity
  • One shift per week or multiple shifts per week
  • Schedule varies: Weekdays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Alliance in the strategic creation of internal and external digital communications calendar.
  • Assist with the planning and creation of appropriate and compelling content on the multiple social media accounts.
  • Conducts follow up from social media posts by sharing links with featured supporters to encourage further reach of content.
  • Tracks the performance of web and social media applications; responsible for creating monthly analytics reports for each platform and providing insight into how the Alliance can increase reach and engagement via social media and all digital media.
  • Assist with drafting blog posts for website.
  • Performs research to ensure compliance with the best practices as they relate to digital media.

Training and Support:

  • Volunteer Services at Interfaith Community Services partners with the Alliance to provide the volunteer/intern with a general orientation, onboards them, and tracks their service.
  • Ongoing oversight from supervising staff to provide direction, training and feedback on specific program and department activities, procedures, priorities, performance, and agency updates.
  • Office equipment including telephone system, photocopy machine, computer equipment, etc.
  • False Claims Act.
  • HIPAA guidelines.
  • Mandated Reporter training.

Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge in the latest digital and social media technology and channels; this includes Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, with the possibility of additional platforms.
  • Professional knowledge of website content management systems such as WordPress.
  • Professional knowledge of email campaign systems such as Constant Contact.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including vocabulary, grammar and spelling in English.
  • Ability to establish quick rapport with staff and volunteers.
  • Absolute solid values: honest, loyal, hardworking, and sincere.
  • Accomplish assignments successfully through your professionalism, leadership skills, wisdom, initiative, good judgment, and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient with computer applications and databases (e.g., MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; Web-based applications, Social Media applications).

Training and Support:

  • Collaborate with all Alliance staff
