Do you enjoy working with the elderly? Would you like to make a huge difference in someone’s life? Encompass Health-Hospice needs volunteers to provide companionship and support to patients during their final months and weeks of life. They provide non-medical services and respite time for patients and family members. You can choose how many hours you would like to provide, and what time of day you would like to provide them. Activity options include playing games, reading, listening to music, watching movies, playing an instrument, knitting or crocheting, going on walks, helping with simple chores, or helping the patient create a life story or photo book.

Description
Encompass Health is looking for a volunteer to provide companionship and support to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and what types of things you want to do.
A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
